    Made for a full diary

A full-body workout that fits a working day: 20 minutes of training in a 45-minute slot, three minutes’ walk from Hyde Park Corner.

    Lunch-break fitness

Your studio slot is 45 minutes: changing, suit fitting and a 20-minute workout. Three minutes’ walk from Hyde Park Corner, so it fits between meetings.

    Main muscle groups at once

EMS works all your main muscle groups at the same time, so 20 minutes is a demanding full-body session. In one small study of sedentary young women, a single 20-minute session a week built similar strength gains to two hour-long gym sessions.

    Every minute counts

One-on-one, every session. Your trainer plans around your diary and sets the intensity so every minute counts. Move a session free with 24 hours’ notice.

    What the research says

Short sessions only matter if they work. Here is what controlled trials found, and who took part.

    20 vs 120

minutes of training a week in one study, with similar strength gains: one EMS session against two hour-long gym sessions

Grgic et al., 202520 sedentary women aged around 20, 10 weeks

    36%

stronger squat after 10 weeks on one 20-minute EMS session a week

Grgic et al., 202520 sedentary women aged around 20, 10 weeks

    57%

less training time than conventional back exercise in a 12-week back-pain trial, with a similar average drop in pain

Micke et al., 2021240 adults aged 40 to 70 with long-standing lower-back pain, 12 weeks

Results vary from person to person. The back-pain trial was run by university researchers with trained instructors; EMS with us is personal training, not treatment. Each link opens the published paper.

    Three quick questions

    Is EMS right for you?

Answer three questions and we’ll tell you straight away whether an introduction session fits you.

    Common Questions

You’ll feel worked and warm, but most clients go straight back to the office. There is no shower at the studio, just a bathroom, so many book first thing or at lunchtime. The suit and base layer are ours; just bring a dry change of clothes.

In a 10-week study of sedentary women, one 20-minute EMS session a week improved strength about as much as two 60-minute gym sessions. EMS works all your main muscle groups at once, so 20 minutes is a demanding full-body workout. Start once a week while your body adapts, then train once or twice a week.

Cancel or move a session 24 hours or more before it starts and your credit comes back. Inside 24 hours the session is used, because your trainer’s time was reserved for you.

A gym membership gives you access to equipment. This gives you a personal trainer, professional technology and a complete workout in 20 minutes. Most of our professional clients find the time savings alone make it worthwhile.

Yes. Your trainer brings the suit and equipment to your home anywhere in Zone 1 and most of Zone 2. You need about 3 by 3 metres of floor space. At-home sessions are £195 each, or less in packs.

EMS isn’t suitable during pregnancy; with a pacemaker or other electronic implant; with epilepsy or another neurological condition, heart rhythm problems, narrowed or hardened arteries, untreated high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, or a hernia in the abdomen or groin; within six months of a stent or bypass; soon after surgery in the area being trained; while you are unwell or have an infection; or after alcohol or drugs. With diabetes, cancer, heart or kidney disease, new back pain that hasn’t been diagnosed, nerve pain or a slipped disc, or an implant such as a joint replacement, you need your doctor’s approval first. We go through your health history before your first session, and if you’re unsure, check with your GP.
